Project Descriptions - All projects must be neat and on time! (You may turn them in early.)
Write a Fictional story –
Write a story with 5 or more paragraphs and a hand drawn cover page. (story can be typed) The story must include facts but the animal can be made human like. (Be creative!)
Poetry Book with illustrations –
Must have at least 5 poems and 5 illustrations. Make the book special, don't just staple 5 pages together.
Create and ABC Book –
Create a book with 26 pages, one for each letter of the alphabet. Each page must have a fact and a picture about the animal. (Be creative) - I have a a template if you need it.
Model of a habitat –
This must be a 3 dimensional model that shows the chosen animal in its natural habitat. Please include a 5 or more sentence descriptive paragraph. (You can describe the process you went through to make the habitat or describe the habitat itself.)
Bulletin Board –
Bulletin Board – Use bulletin board paper. This can usually be purchased at the dollar store. The board should be appealing to the eye. It should include:
Make a Game-
This must be fact based. The game should teach the players about the animal. It should have a game board, pieces, and rules. You should also create a box or package for the game. Be creative and make it fun. Your fellow students will be playing it.
Write a play or make a movie –
Write a script with at least 2 characters. It may be fictional but must include facts about your animal. It should be between 3-5 minutes long when performed/played.

You must have a calendar with all 12 months. Each month should have a picture/drawing of the animal and a caption with a fact about your animal. You can show your animal with its habitat, diet, home, enemies, families, and/or in different stages of its life.
Make a Mask-
Mask – 50 points - Make a mask of your animal’s face. Write a 5 sentence descriptive paragraph to share with the mask.
Animal Pamphlet/Brochure-
Pamphlet should have a minimum of six sections. It must include an illustrated cover with your animal’s name and picture. Other sections may include some of the following; life cycle, distribution map, information and illustrations about their diet, habitat, enemies, and families. You may include an interview with the animal’s care taker, a story or comic, and/ or an interesting facts section. (all pictures/illustrations must have captions)
